Building Community Through Direct Primary Care: Meet Emma Crowley from Maple Health

At Maple Health Direct Primary Care, we’re more than just a clinic—we're a team of passionate individuals committed to transforming the healthcare experience for our patients and our community. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Emma, our Director of Community Outreach and Business Acquisition. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Emma at a local chamber event or community gathering, you already know she brings incredible energy and heart to her role.

We sat down with Emma to learn more about her experience in DPC, her approach to community connections, and what motivates her every day.

Connecting Through Community

Emma describes her role as one of the most rewarding chapters of her career so far.

“The highlight of this role is all the wonderful people and businesses I have met through chamber meetings and other networking events,” she shares. “There is an incredible sense of community and support that fills the room.”

From day one, Emma has embraced the unique opportunities that come with building relationships in the Mentor area and beyond. She emphasizes that word-of-mouth referrals are the heart of Maple Health's growth—and she’s continually humbled by the kind words patients and partners share.

Breaking Down Barriers in Healthcare

Emma also acknowledges some of the challenges that come with introducing a new model of care. Many people aren’t familiar with Direct Primary Care, and that can create a communication gap.

“There is a great need for transparency in both the care provided and the cost associated with that care,” Emma explains. “Our model can feel almost too good to be true, especially in a system filled with hurdles and hidden fees.”

But that’s exactly why she’s so passionate about DPC—because it removes those barriers and allows patients and employers to experience personalized, transparent, and affordable healthcare.

Helping Small Businesses Take Big Steps

Much of Emma’s work involves helping small businesses provide health benefits in a way that aligns with their goals and budgets.

“I focus on helping local businesses provide access to quality primary care for their employees,” she says. “A small business thrives when we support and help one another—and the Mentor community has truly embraced that idea.”

Whether a business is just starting to explore health benefits or looking to improve their current offerings, Emma meets each owner where they are. Her approach is never one-size-fits-all.

“Each business has unique needs,” Emma says. “We’re here to explore solutions, whether it’s supplementing a high-deductible plan, offering an affordable first-dollar option, or simply improving the quality of care.”

Getting to Know Emma Outside the Office

When Emma’s not meeting with business leaders or representing Maple Health at local events, she’s likely spending time with her family.

“I enjoy a mug of hot coffee and watching the sunrise—on a beach is ideal!” she says with a smile. Each year, Emma and her family head to Fripp Island, South Carolina for a relaxing escape.

At home, she and her husband Bryan enjoy the outdoors with their two children, Nora (6) and Conrad (4), and their energetic silver lab, Petey. They love hiking in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and being active in their local church, where Emma helps with Bible classes and organizes vacation Bible school.

The Heart of Our Mission

Emma embodies everything Maple Health stands for—compassion, connection, and a deep belief in better care. Her work in the community helps bring the DPC model to life, showing small businesses and families that healthcare doesn’t have to be complicated.

If you’re curious about how Maple Health DPC can support your business or family, Emma is just a phone call or email away. We’re here to partner with you on your healthcare journey—wherever you are.
