Summer is almost here! With the "unofficial" start of summer behind us, many of us have already transitioned into summer mode! It can be a great time to start incorporating some new, healthy habits into your routine. The weather lends itself to daily walks (don't forget to bring kids or pets along), using fresh fruits and vegetables from your garden or local famers market, and grilling lean meats and veggies.

Speaking of summer mode - Join us for a party! The details are below but your RSVP is due soon: June 1! Email vanessa@maplehealthdpc.com to reserve your spot. We can't wait to see you.

Our Latest Google Review

"Incredible Care. Called that morning and they were able to get me in that same day. Came up with a clear plan of action and the staff made me feel heard. Excited to work with them in the future so happy that a friend referred me to them! Truly how health care should be. Patient centered care." -K.H.

Spotlight: Women's Health

May is Women's Health Month. This observance highlights women's health conditions and priorities and encourages women of all ages to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Women are statistically at a higher risk for certain conditions such as heart disease, depression, thyroid disease, and osteoporosis. Proactive, preventive care can save lives.

Schedule a Well-Woman Exam: This annual checkup is vital for reviewing your overall health, discussing family planning, and tracking changes.

Keep Up with Preventive Screenings:

  • Cervical Cancer Screening: Generally begins at age 21.

  • Mammograms: Routinely recommended annually starting at age 40 or 50, depending on your risk factors.

  • Colorectal Cancer Screenings: Typically start at age 45.

Build Healthy Habits: Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity (like brisk walking) a week, eat a balanced diet, and prioritize 7-9 hours of sleep each night.

Manage Mental Health: Seek support for stress, anxiety, or depression, as hormonal fluctuations and life stressors can significantly impact your emotional well-being
